Imagine: A spacious custom-designed property nestled in a 3 acre ash grove a stone's toss from an Atlantic tidal bay. The open-concept mansion has cathedral ceilings, 50 large windows and 21 skylights. Rooms - all with ocean views - are decorated with antiques and original art. The expansive kitchen, with 35ft of maple counter-space, is a cook's delight. Upstairs, the master bedroom is a spacious open-concept retreat. Awaken to forest and ocean views from eight windows. Outside, a tri-level deck wraps around the house. Sailing, canoeing and kayaking are on-site. It just doesn't get any better.
The main floor is 1500 square feet of open-concept living ringed around the kitchen, the traditional focus of homes in Nova Scotia. I love to cook and I think it shows. The only “wall” in the kitchen is a 15-foot bank of windows that peer out over ash and spruce trees to the bay, a spectacular panorama to contemplate while whipping up Sunday-morning pancakes. Solid maple countertops – 35 feet of them including one just for baking – snake around the room. Quality appliances include a Jenn-Air downdraft stove, built-in full refrigerator and full freezer, dishwasher and trash compactor. There is also a 50,000BTU gas barbeque for easy grilling. You’re sure to find any equipment you require during your stay. I’ve got all the basics, plus many extras, including a pasta maker and a functioning antique Italian cappuccino machine. When you’ve finished preparing your gastronomical feast, eat in the kitchen or at the table in the window-flanked dining room, which seats 8 to 10 comfortably (or up to 16 when combined with the kitchen table.)

Pets: Most pets are welcome as part of the family. They (especially dogs) will love the 10 acres of land on which they can roam along with the miles of coastline and beach. Pets are allowed in all inside areas of the property but not on any of the furniture. Pet owners are also asked to pick up after their pets at all time (though in wooded areas of the property please let them poop to their hearts - or bowels - content). Pets need to be house trained, not pose a danger to humans, in good general health and inoculated for applicable issues (such as fleas in dogs). Smoking allowed Only outside.
