This relaxing oasis is yours to discover with Cowichan Lake just steps from your front door and amazing mountain views to enjoy.
This warm and inviting cottage is located in the village of Youbou which is in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. The driving time from from Victoria or Nanaimo is approximately 1.5 hours, 25 minutes from Duncan and 10 minutes from the town of Lake Cowichan. It is a short drive to the West Coast destinations of Carmanah Valley, Nitnat Lake and Bamfield.
The Cowichan Lake Cottage is beautifully decorated and is fully equipped to sleep nine (9) people comfortably.
When you walk in the front door you enter a large living room featuring a magnificent fireplace crafted from local river rocks. The original hardwood floors will catch your eye, along with the warm and cozy atmosphere. Double French doors separate the entrance into the dining room with an archway leading into an updated and beautiful country kitchen. The large windows provide breathtaking panoramic views of the lake and mountains for you to enjoy as you sip your morning coffee or toast with a glass of wine over dinner.
The large 'open concept' kitchen is perfect for entertaining with easy access to the dining and living rooms. A large deck just off the kitchen comes fully equipped with a gas barbecue and patio set. This is a relaxing spot to read a book, take a nap or enjoy a meal.
The cottage has four (4) bedrooms. One, off the living room, has a queen size bed while another off the dining room has a double bed. In a separate wing off the kitchen are two (2) additional carpeted bedrooms with original wood walls. One room has a queen size bed and the other a bunk bed (double on bottom, single on top). These two (2) bedrooms have a lovely view of the lake and the mountains. The cottage design makes it perfect for either a large family or two small families to share.
For your entertainment pleasure, the cottage comes equipped with a TV, VCR/DVD, stereo with CD player, board games, puzzles, cards, and novels for your enjoyment. The bathroom has a soaking tub with shower and a washer/dryer for your convenience.
The cottage is directly across the street from Arbutus Park with the lake approximately 150 feet from the front door. The park has a play ground area complete with swings for children. There is a protected swimming area that includes a large dock with both a slide and diving board. Lifeguards are on duty during summer months.

The cottage is available for both long and short term rentals. Weekend reservations are accepted. Monthly rates are available during this season.
Christmas/New Years - Peak Season rates apply.
During the peak season, the cottage is rented weekly. Check in is Sunday at 1:00 pm and check out is Saturday by 3:00 pm.
Guests must be at least 25 years of age to rent any propertes with Elite Vacation Homes.
